Who Am I?
Hey there! I’m Amar Mann, a student-athlete attending St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York. I am on-course to graduate in the spring of 2018 with an B.A. in Economics and a minor in Marketing. After graduation, I look forward to applying the skills and knowledge set I have learned to the job world.
My interest in my education in economics stems from the interaction between money and the general population. I believe understanding the money market as a whole allows me to become an informed citizen and demonstrate the ability to actively contribute to political and economic debates. Furthermore, the ability to analyze what the government is implementing not only from a political standpoint, but also from a contributing member of society. This will allow me to voice my thoughts and opinions in economics debates on an array of different topics like financial planning for my family.
My interest in economics is also very reflective in my personality as being able to understand a problem and help make that problem a solution is what my leadership qualities show. Not only being a leader, but a very informative, curious, and intuitive listener helps make not only myself, but others learn. Being able to research and write strong to the point essays and research projects are situations in that I strive in. Learning and overcoming roadblocks to help myself achieve my greater goal in what ever I am doing is what motivates me as a person.
